Though there were certain elements that reminded me of other books I’ve read, this particular plot was definitely very unique. Few authors have been recommended to me more than Lora Leigh and based on such things as the cover of this book, I have avoided reading anything by her.

This is one of the best breed books I have read. Probably should have read it first, but then I haven’t read any of the series in order so why start now.
I kept thinking as I read it that this is the stuff that great sci-fi movies are temting of. Her creatures are wicked mainstream. A human cross breed of man and Lion.

In this first book, Callan Lyons is a genetic experiment created by a blend of human and lion DNA — not known to the public. I am probably being a bit unfair, this is after all erotica and not PNR and I should expect the overload of sex breevs not bfast else, but I liked the ideas of this story, and can’t help but wish it was more of a PNR.
In this book, she has found a more balanced approach to very erotic and wondrous sections devoted to sex between two people who begin by not knowing each other as people at all. Return to Book Page. Even though I really liked the ideas that the temphing was built upon, I had mixed feelings about some other aspects. None of them will be able to resist the other. Secondly, I thought that the villain was far too easy to spot.

Teen and sensitive readers should exercise caution. The boring guy in this book: He will become the leader of feline breeds and basically he will be the lroa who will guide the way to the coexistence of humans and breeds. I never really got a true sense of who she was and what made her tick. Merinus, the heroine, is an excellent match for Callon’s overbearing ways, and finds ways of asserting her independence with a man who needs to be dominant. I don’t have a problem with it if it’s handled well.
A Novel beas the Breeds. I felt like I knew and understood Callan pretty well, but I realized after finishing the book that I never knew much anything of a personal nature about Merinus. In my opinion her character just wasn’t fully fleshed out.
These characters are so real that you feel everything they feel.
