Enroll today to save your spot! Featured drummer, composer, author, and educator Ed Roscetti will introduce and demonstrate a variety of traditional and hybrid styles in both classroom and ensemble settings.
This interactive concert is geared towards schools, universities, music camps and corporate events. Students of all instruments, including voice, are encouraged to participate.
Rhythms are run down the Five Steps and demonstrated in a variety of styles Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz and World Beat grooves on drum set and hand drums followed by interactive attendee participation from their seats. All musical levels welcome! WBR entails a six-piece ensemble made up of four multi-percussionists, a guitarist and bassist. Custom workshops are fun, educational and therapeutic sessions that will teach participants how to play and interact rhythmically on a variety of hand drums and hand percussion instruments.
These workshops establish a system, giving managers creative, innovative tools to unify and focus their staff and department.
Campers learn to groove on drumset, hand Drums, and hand percussion instruments. We begin with a general overview of World Music influenced by a variety of global regions, including Samba, Afro-Cuban, and Olodum. All levels of attendees are able to participate in this process and increase their rhythmic rscetti and vocabulary. This interactive workshop is designed for music majors at the university level or those who have a working facility with sight reading.
Non-percussion musicians play their primary instrument which is folded in along the way or a percussion part. This open interaction offers an excellent opportunity for all music lovers — students, professionals, educators, and appreciators of all ages — to come together and explore communication through the language of the drum in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Bass guitar accompanies day 2 and 3 for ensemble classes leading roscettj to rozcetti final performance.
Campers come and play in the spirit of the groove! Learn to groove on drumset, hand drums, and hand percussion instruments. Participants then join the ensemble on stage to experience playing the percussion score as a leader cues the breaks, dynamics, and trading of fours and vocal phrases within the ensemble.
Workshops can be tailored to explore one region of your choice, breaking down in depth its music, ensemble structures, and compositional practices. All rhythms in the percussion score provided are demonstrated for the seated audience.
Focus is on increasing your rhythmic vocabulary in an energetic, interactive, and supportive environment. The compositional emphasis is a hybrid of rhythmic phrases that can be turned into melodic lines and ostinatos.

Audience participation voluntary on shakers and hand drums provided by WBR consistently proves to be a favorite part of the show. The students are introduced to ways of creating their own loops in their home studios, using the latest technology available today Pro Tools, etc.
