It was quite shocking for because I have expected so much more Paulo Coelho, who used to be one of my favorite writers. Every single character was flat and lacked a depth of emotion- they simply didn’t come alive in my imagination- itnotdeauna were simply unable to take on their own identities, speak with their own voices, or come up with unexpected actions.
I have never read any of Paulo Coelho’s books beside this one. Don’t cry for meAngelina Sste. I wish I could have my time back that was wasted on reading this book. No trivia or quizzes yet. Minus the research and the obvious Cannes experience that the author has, any intelligent, bored, frustrated fourteen year old could have written this. I wonder why he wanted to write on this subject??? Ask and answer questions about books! There’s Igor, preaching about the nastiness of everything in general despite claiming he’s trying to have a nice time with someone he loves. As the story unfolds, I couldn’t even comprehend the motive Igor had to kill other people, just to catch his wife’s attention.
