The absurd is often referring to the conflicting philosophy that humans have a tendency to seek out value and meaning in life. We know this, don’t we! Mariam Mansuryan I think you are misinterpreting the book. Even xlberas, man is not only a stranger facing the world, but a stranger also in relation to himself. He’s a stranger to remorse. I expect more absurdism in my absurdist fiction, I suppose. I started this book, finally, understanding that it was an example of existentialist philosophy but knowing little else.
That’s where Camus showed himself for the philosopher that he was.
